Roasted Tomato Soup

Adding the chive oil to the roasted heirloom tomato soup was a zingy upgrade that made it taste light yet hearty at the same time. The truffle aroma in each bite of the fluffy crisped bread of the grilled cheese was a pleasant spin.

Littleneck Clams

The Littleneck Clams dish was so delicious and I loved the lemon flavor! I finished my meal with the tiramisu which was the perfect size and tasted fantastic.

Prime Filet Mignon Steak Tartare

First time dining at Sel, the restaurant was recommended to us by friends. I went on the Sel website and saw the "Off Hours Bourbon" event, which was right up our alley. The event started with a reception where I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef's wife May, who was so nice. What followed after the reception was a 4 course dinner pairing with crafted Bourbon cocktails and a pure tasting of the bourbon that was used for the cocktail and the accompanied dish. The dishes were a Beef Tenderloin Steak Tartare, Seared Duck Breast, Hanger Steak Au Poivre followed Mousse Cake for dessert. The presentation, taste, timing of the whole meal along with the cocktails was outstanding. It was truly a very enjoyable evening.

DIVER SCALLOP CRUDO

The Maine Diver Scallop was a showstopper --- perfectly seared with a golden crust, paired with a wasabi-ginger sauce that added the perfect subtle kick. The richness of the foie gras espuma, kissed with white truffle, was downright indulgent. Creamy avocado, bursts of smoked trout roe, and that airy tapioca crisp brought texture and surprise to every bite. A flawless balance of elegance, freshness, and bold flavor. This dish isn't just dinner --- it's an experience.

Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras Musubi

Wonderfully prepared! Perfect savory - sweet combination, utilizing seasonal fruits and acidic reductions to balance the richness of the duck liver. A classic high-end, yet creative preparation.

GRILLED ARGENTINIAN BEEF FILET MIGNON 8OZ

We celebrated my wife's birthday here in late May and had an incredible experience. I don't normally leave reviews, but this is now the 5th time we've dined at Sel and each time the food is outstanding, the service is impressive, and the ambiance is perfect. They always go out of their way to accommodate my wife's gluten allergy, which we truly appreciate. It's consistently our favorite spot in town---reliable, thoughtful, and delicious every time.
